As our pansies have faded, new blooms have opened up this week.
pretty hydrangeas in the front , beneath the windows (these are my new favorite)
and our lone rose bush on the side of the house, by the garage
And as for Sadie... We have been trying to give her some new flavors and textures this week. First up, strawberries!
this fun gadget strains the berries as Sadie chews
pause to talk to the strawberries
work on the other end
got to get that last little bit...
Now for the real thing. I cut up (and slightly mashed) some more strawberries yesterday, for her first REAL taste of "solid" fruit.they were sticky, yet interesting
Yesterday, little miss and I HAD to get out of the house. So we traveled down the road to SONIC.
where we met Sarah and little (Big) Brex (who could not stop smiling at Sadie)
Sarah and I enjoyed cool drinks, and then we all headed to the playground
(Sadie was not really up for being photographed.)
Then while Brex roamed around the playground, I thought Sadie might want to get down and play..She may not like it, but why not...it can't hurt curious...this feels different
and then...she was fascinated
oh, did Sadie love the sand!
(she continued to pick it up and let it run through her fingers for the next twenty minutes...over and over again = So fun!) We have found new entertainment!
In order to get full use out of the sweet gifts we've received (and due to the inevitable spit up or rotation of laundry) we frequently change Sadie girl's clothes.
sometimes we dress up at home (thanks Mimi and Poppa)
or to go to a wedding (thanks to Heather S. for the headband, and the CCC sale for the smocked dress)
and sometimes we go casual with a skirt (from the CCC sale too, $2!)
or sport a fun jacket, indoors (thanks Aunt Gaylynn!)
