The apple doesn't fall far...
We know that our children inherit our DNA, our traits (eye color, hair color, height) but what I didn't know (or realize) is that they have our habits too...even at four months old... and even when sleeping.
Sadie is a great napper and sleeper.

If she isn't sleeping like this..(like Daddy used to when he was little).

She is sleeping like this (like Mommy still does now). So sweet!
Yes, she is napping on the mattress pad -- all fitted sheets were dirty and it was nap time.
Oh well! She didn't mind.

One big week
This was a big week at our house: Sadie is now FOUR months old! We cannot believe it.

Sadie decided she likes her rice cereal and now reaches for the spoon...

tried to figure out this bath thing (as you can see, she still isn't sure).

She found her feet!
and... drumroll please...

she finally rolled over!

Hooray! (Mommy actually got a picture mid-roll!)

Ta-Da! (Hmm, now what do I do?)
We are so grateful for each day with our Sadie bug - our sweet daughter. What a gift!

Growing up
The last few days have been a reminder of how quickly Sadie is growing; more than the usual everyday happenings. On Friday, she had her 4 month check up (and shots - Boooo!) She is average weight and 90th percentile in length/height. Hmm, I wonder where she gets that?
Then on Saturday, we tried rice cereal for the very first time. Just a few tastes of course, but oh, was it fun to watch:

First, we sat her in the little Bumbo seat. Then got a bib.

Then her first taste...

and a second try. (Notice her clasped dainty little hands. A new but constant habit. Our little lady).
Then down on her mat for some tummy time.

(This mat is so great - it looks like a picnic blanket and the pillow is a slice of watermelon). Sadie is so strong!

Time to Play (and "talk")
Sadie loves her little activity mat - (a wonderful hand-me-down from Aunt Michelle and Carys). She plays on it almost everyday. Yesterday was especially fun, because Sadie pulled down her favorite animal from the mobile that hangs over the mat - her monkey.

First, she focused in on her monkey...

Then grabbed him and pulled him down (with a little help from Momma)

And held onto to him for thirty minutes, then for another twenty while Momma held her and walked around the house. So cute!
And here's a little video clip of what I get to hear everyday - Precious!
(Be patient - The first 30 seconds, I'm trying to elicit a response. You'll hear Sadie soon).
