New "do"

I am so excited that Sadie now has enough hair...

Photobucket

for a single little twig of a ponytail!
Aren't girls fun?

Saturday, June 12

Nearly nine months old...

It is hard to believe that our girl is getting so big...She is learning new things each day!

Sadie can now wave "Hi" and "Bye-Bye"
(and LOVES to do so, even if it's not time to)

Sit up on her own and play away the day...

but most recently and importantly, her mode of "transportation has changed.
See for yourself:

That's right! Our Sadie bug is CRAWLING!
(I think I surprised her when I said "good job")

Like her Aunt Michelle said "Let the games begin!"

Memorial Day weekend..and then some

Sadie and I traveled down to Houston to visit Mimi & Poppa over Memorial Day, since Jason was over in Baton Rouge
(go first week of Base Camp!) Carys, Aunt Michelle and Uncle Barry were there too!

we visited Sadie's great grandmother, Titee

Aunt Michelle and Sadie (my favorite pic of the day)
....................................................................
then played together at the house

so many toys, so little time

Carys is a big helper

silly Poppa
...............................................

enjoyed dinner at the country club

here's Mimi with Sadie bug
...............................................
enjoyed an awesome picnic at the club

Carys had her face painted ( and LOVED her cupcake)
...................................................................
and cooled off in the pool of course

Barry, Carys, Michelle, Sadie (and me)

What a wonderful weekend!
(we missed you Jason!)

Mirror, Mirror

exploring the floor of her room is always fun, but sometimes a toy or two is necessary to hold her attention

one of her new favorites: a hand-me-down crib mirror

who is that girl I see?

I will sing to her...

springtime & strawberries

As our pansies have faded, new blooms have opened up this week.

pretty hydrangeas in the front , beneath the windows
(these are my new favorite)

and our lone rose bush on the side of the house, by the garage

And as for Sadie...
We have been trying to give her some new flavors and textures this week.
First up, strawberries!

this fun gadget strains the berries as Sadie chews

pause to talk to the strawberries

work on the other end

got to get that last little bit...

Now for the real thing. I cut up (and slightly mashed) some more strawberries yesterday, for her first REAL taste of "solid" fruit. they were sticky, yet interesting

but she got a few (in both hands)

success!

Our Week

Here are some pics to catch you up on the latest adventures
of Sadie Jane Wallace:finishing off the last of amoxicillin (which she LOVED)for her ear infection

coloring little hands with washable markers

for our homemade Mother's Day cards!

trying to figure out what this stuff on my hands is...

showing off two teeth! (and crown of feather hair & those dark blue eyes)

dumping out the ENTIRE toy box

and examining each piece carefully

this looks tasty

trying to feed myself blueberry bananas

and singing to the spoon

then trying again

catching up on the latest fashion trends
(no really...she grabs this from the coffee table every morning)

then we visited Daddy at PINE COVE'S Free Family Day
one of a few family shots

here's our friends, Preston, doing the joust with his buddy

these little guys were waiting for the big new toy...

the Euro-Bungee
(maybe when you're five, Sadie girl)

then kissed Daddy good-bye and headed home for a nap

What a fun week!
Like Olivia's mommy says to her every night:
"You wear me out, but I love you any way."
(great book series)
