Friday afternoon

Yesterday, little miss and I HAD to get out of the house. So we traveled down the road to SONIC.
where we met Sarah and little (Big) Brex (who could not stop smiling at Sadie)

Sarah and I enjoyed cool drinks, and then we all headed to the playground
(Sadie was not really up for being photographed.)

Then while Brex roamed around the playground, I thought Sadie might want to get down and play..She may not like it, but why not...it can't hurt
curious...this feels different

and then...she was fascinated

oh, did Sadie love the sand!

(she continued to pick it up and let it run through her fingers for the next twenty minutes...over and over again = So fun!) We have found new entertainment!

FASHION SHOW

In order to get full use out of the sweet gifts we've received (and due to the inevitable spit up or rotation of laundry) we frequently change Sadie girl's clothes.
sometimes we dress up at home (thanks Mimi and Poppa)

or to go to a wedding
(thanks to Heather S. for the headband, and the CCC sale for the smocked dress)

and sometimes we go casual with a skirt
(from the CCC sale too, $2!)

or sport a fun jacket, indoors
(thanks Aunt Gaylynn!)

or wear nothing at all
(we love the bath!)

other days, we just stay in our cupcake pjs

Wedding weekend

Last weekend, we were traveling girls, Sadie and I... first, we headed to Cleburne to see my grandparents
Here's Sadie with my mom and Pop (trying to get a bite of that sweet roll)

Sadie bug on the prowl...(I think she will crawl forward any day now)
as you may recall, she has mastered scooting backward

and a picture with all of the ladies (from left to right: my great aunt Janie, my grandmother's twin sister Cloyce, Sadie and I, my grandmother "Dada", her best friend Jimilynn and my mom, Shirley)

then off to Waco for a friend-filled weddingmy brother George, trying to get a quick hug before we left (as you can see, Sadie was ready for bed)
there are more pictures coming of the wedding...one of our friends took some great ones and are sending them my way soon

What a weekend! it was a lot of driving, but also a LOT of fun!

rollin' along

Sadie is a busy bee. First, she is a mover. She has been able to roll over for quite some time, but now she rolls several times in a row to get where she needs/wants to go...like a corkscrew

like underneath the coffee table

(she hold out her arms for a moment to balance, of course)

hmmmm... this Kleenex box looks interesting

VERY interesting

Second, Sadie loves, well, everything around her. At seven months old, there's a lot to look at and LOVE

like her own foot

and my foot, apparently (why are painted toenails so amusing ?)

she also LOVES an empty water bottle (that crinkle-crunch sound -- gets her every time)

it's the little things :)

Splish splash

In addition to her two teeth, Sadie has also grown several inches...so we sadly retired our blue baby tub and went in search of a solution. Thanks to Walmart online:

we have a fun little water-seat for Sadie girl...
(notice the washcloth tam for kicks)

so now she can wave and play

and chew on her cup
Don't you love the
hair?

Funny Faces

Here are a few shots
from our afternoon play time:

credit to Meaghan E. for the use of colored letters :)

singing "la-la-la-la-la" and "lo-lo-lo"

being a gigglebox

and...suddenly frightened ?

Easter highlights

We had a wonderful time last weekend with our family for Easter and did a great job taking lots of fabulous snapshots capturing the precious moments...but now many of them will not load onto the blog...so, I humbly submit a few of these (tiny) pictures so you all can see a bit of the fun.

FRIDAY
